You were right that integration by substitution isn't in the 2 unit course. In a 2 unit context you would have to apply the reverse chain rule...usually you'll be asked to differentiate (x² + 2x)³ and then derive the integral from it at 2 unit level.OMG...integration by sub

I believe you can use 3u methods, as long as what you've done is still noticeable.If integration by sub is not in 2u, can you still use it in a 2u exam?
