Hi everyone,

So Im doing only 10 units and that is: Gen maths, Anc hist, Standard Eng, Modern hist and Biz studies..

Will I be getting a VERY, VERY bad UAI if I only get band 4's and 5's in all these subjects?

[GEN MATHS] There is only 4 students And they only do 10 units as well
[ANC HIST, MOD HIST] there is only 10 students in each class
[BIZ STUDIES] Only 8 students
[STANDARD ENG] There is 20 students

P.S - You guys can leave the subs you do and ideas on this topic as well for reference

thanks guys :spzz:

Depends how badly everyone else does with the same subjects =P

But as a general rule, only 10 units and a band 4 in general maths is a reciple for disaster. It's not too hard of a subject, you should be aiming for band 6's -Though everyone is different.

Really, your subjects don't scale too well, so band 4's (well band 4 in any subject...) won't cut it for a "good" (80+) UAI.

Well hopefully you're not aiming for 80+. Heck, you shouldn't even aim for 70+

nah dont say that :p
theres always other ways to get in even if you dont get your desired UAI
some people are just way too up themselves. dont worry :)
& you can get a good UAI with any combination of subjects provided you do well as in band 5's & 6's.

LOL why is he suddenly being labeled a failure based on the subjects he is doing? its really stupid.

I believe it is because not only the subjects, but the expected bands in the "low scaling" subjects.

And @OP - just do your best, you can't do more than that anyway.

They are low-scaling subjects, but that doesn't mean he'll do crap.
As long as he is able to do well in all of his subjects - then he'll get a reasonable UAI (it might be hard if you're aiming for 90+, but 80-90 should be achievable).

Also, knowing what Pal College is like, you've got such a small cohort - that you gotta try and top your low scaling subjects.
