the proposed return date for one of my assignments coincides with the 2 week break, so how and where can I get it if thats the case?

Check with your tutor if the assignment will be left somewhere, usually the information office close to where you're handing the assignments in, but double check.

so like if they place it in the information office, do we have to like show our student cards to the person and they give it to us, or will it be just in a stack and we just find and collect it?

Really? I once collected my assignment which was just left in a pile at the submission boxes, anyone could have just taken what they liked...:mad1: ... lucky I went in on the first day, I heard some students couldn't find their assignments...
