Hey chewy, don't worry so much...you know I thought I was stressed...but seriously 50% is pretty good...considering the fact that the average mark was 35%...I hate it with every droplet of blood in my body! I only got 50% in the first tutorial test><
They should really slow down first yr uni, so people from high school can go through the transition more smoothly...sigh sigh sigh~~
uni is the lowest point in my life>< i wish i was born with superior intellect and ability to adjust to new environment.
Chewy, Law will get better. I can promise you this, I am currently doing 3 law subjects (Contracts I, Public Law and Foundations of Law). It is very interesting and most of what you will learn in Foundations and Torts (next semester) will come in handy. I find that Public Law and Foundations are very much related.Oh and I forgot to mention sth else, chewy...my dad told me that the dean of sydney uni law said that relaly the uai for law need only be 85...as that is good enough for law...
My QMA tutor told us that marks were given wherever possible...which is nice seeing as I was preping myself for fail...oh wait I did...but at least it wasn't 0...right?
don't worry, they'll fail come final exam time.thx tehazner and onholidays...but sigh, the first two weeks of uni was complete hellT.T, gotten less painful since but still feel like i m just "tolerating" uni rather than adapting to it. (& sry for exploiting this forum lately for my own emotional relief, since this is the only place i can throw down stress without anyone knowing me in real life)
It's not that i wanna be spoonfed, but i just feel like all forms of support is removed since uni began. There are people telling me how they have friends doing qma quiz for them, and there are those who gets full mark by themselves. Those smart people have their own intellectual support, and those not so smart have their extensive social support....and i have neither.
+1. As for teh support thing, why not try going to PASS or have some sort of weekly study session amongst your friends.don't worry, they'll fail come final exam time.
mate i might start joining that pass group, how man ppl are in that class btw? Those who collude together in the quizzes will ultimately fail in the finals. The finals are are 60% after all, and if you can't do the quizzes by yourself, you will most likely fail in the exam.
Btw, I would highly recommend going to PASS. The leaders that I currently have are really really good, and you get to meet new people as well. The one I go to is in Law 276 on Thursdays 1-2pm. They know their stuff and they have a formula sheet *wink wink*
To be honest it took me a good 2 hours for each attempt, but I'm actually starting to "like" QMA now...
I think it's around 35 people, so I don't think you'd have any trouble joining the group.mate i might start joining that pass group, how man ppl are in that class btw?

lols. Point taken, but you're probably super-smart anywaysI colluded with my friends..
ended up getting Distinction for QMA
So there goes that logic.
They give you a handout with questions, and they work through it with the class as much as possible (it's only 1 hour after all). The questions are really good when it comes to revision time.what exactly happens at PASS?
now i regret not going earlier :|They give you a handout with questions, and they work through it with the class as much as possible (it's only 1 hour after all). The questions are really good when it comes to revision time.
