A lot of text books I've been looking at include "induction switches" as devices that use electromagnetic induction. But I can't find a direct reference to this device in any of the dot points...

Anyone know if its operation should be known for the syllabus? If so, which dot point does it fall under?

Have they ever asked in the HSC a direct question in explaining how these induction switches work?
