Extra discussion in Focus Studies?

Hey in the optional focus studies, when they ask a question like this

" Evaluate the ways in which the leagl system protects family members and include a descussion of the rights and obligations of parents and children"

how much of your essay should you spend on the 'discussion of the rights and obligations of parents and children"?

Is a couple of paragraphs enough? Or less? Or more?

cheers

yes, but how much of that 6.5 pages did u spend on the "included discussion?"

did you spend half the essay, or only a few paragraphs?

to be honest with you there shifting away from these 2 part questions in the hsc. if u notice last yr they were all quotes, and the shift from what i gathered from lectures was to move in the more quote type manner, testing a students ability to recognise the effective areas, and ineffective areas, hence those who pick a side will falter. however in this regard u'd only need to write 3 paragraphs on the discussion area, many high range answers only use 2 also supported with lmcd.

oh right, sorry- missed that bit out. Pretty much I mentioned a new issue I linked it to the rights of parents/children. So I would say probably nearly all of them

you sure? last year was the only time they have done it in like 4/5 years? I hope ur right though, cuz i dont bother studying the entire family/workplace course, just specialise in a couple of areas that ill use in my essay, im always worried they may ask for a discussion of something i have not studied

not based on, but they often require you to discuss a certain issue
