the whole idea of this thread is to discuss what compells these seemingly normal, successful and happy women to not only contact death row inmates who have been convicted for some hidious crime(s), but to marry them?

...I really have got nothing on this one.

We're talking about serious rape here not something like you'll say while you're having sex:
"rape me rape me! i want more! just fucking rape me!"

It's the appeal of something forbidden; taboo.

These women probably need some sort of "excitement" in their lives - and so concoct a perverse side, a sort of "deep dark secret" for themselves. If anything, it boils down to power issues, everyone's got to have a side only they know about (self control, self empowerment?).

For these women, it's these inmates.

omg I know somebody who is a spitting image of that^^ guy...and he's currently in jail for attempted murder :-|

(13 years in the psych jail, 2 in normal prison).
