my friends and I are guessing that there wouldn't be many schoolies kids this year due to financial difficulties. Which kinda sucks. Do you agree?

I am hardly affected by it...so that hasn't really affected my plan for overseas trip with friends.

if anything i'd say its the opposite. the price of holiday travel has dropped dramatically to try and counteract the fall in demand during a downturn. we're going to fiji for a week. return airfares, taxes, transfers, 4-star accomodation, meals, parties and activities only come to $1500.

if we weren't in a downturn and the travel industry wasn't struggling to keep business, the price could easily have been double that.
