But you're expecting this in a monogamous relationship anyway, without marriage. De facto relationships enjoy all the legal and financial benefits of marriage, minus traditional bullshit.

Ok, so people in marriages cheat. Marriages are not a safeguard against infidelity, against unhappiness or any other mechanism that would otherwise ruin a relationship.

I think you may be bitterly disappointed by marriage, when you find that it doesn't actually offer your relationship the protection you think it will.
I'm not into marriage for the protection, as it really offers none.
besides, the thought of a 'prenup', and the girl will go apeshit.

Oh she will, will she? Maybe she'll demand one, to protect HER assets. Unless you want your wife to be one of those without a job, totally financially reliant on you, barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, blah blah.

Well then I don't get the point of this entire thread.

If you acknowledge that marriage offers none of the afore mention protectionism, why is it so high on your list of priorities?

Wouldn't a stable, sexual, loving relationship be better?

And why is the girl going to go apeshit over a prenup? Unless you're expecting the majority of the assets.

omg i did not even read this apart from op cos op is a virgin prove me wrong
op claims not to be a virgin but must have had a bad experience (i.e. premature ejaculation) as he does not want a repeat performance of this until he has trapped a woman into a relationship so that she must endure 30 second sex for the next 60 years

Then why would she freak out over a prenup?

Do you even know what you're talking about?

I don't know any woman who goes to a tailor to have a dress made, I'm sorry. That would cost more than one off the shelf.
maybe the queen.
haha.

or those celebs.

I know of a girl that spent $10 000 on a custom dress she took to her YEAR TEN formal

your father is a doctor =]

You're wrong!

Neither of my parents are doctors.
We moved here 21 years ago (prior to my birth obviously) because my brother needed an operation and India didn't have the medial supplies.

Dad got involved with working at the markets, and we developed our business from there.

Hence, this proves your stereotyping is wrong.

:)

sure.

but any girl will go apeshit if you ask for a prenup
(unless she has more assets)
Stereotypes again. Have you ever asked a prospective bride if she wants a prenup? Yes? No?

This guy is such a catch ok.

Like, his list of criterion is rigorous because he wants a compatible mate.

Not sure if he has heard of compromise though, because what happens if he finds a compatible partner who sees qualities in him she'd like to change.

tbh imo if you have a set list of requirements, you're never going to fulfill them.
