- i am incredibly elitist and will (sub)consciously judge people who cannot spell/string a sentence together. i can't help it, i have absolutely no patience for those who can't type/send a text message without spelling a word in full.

- must have on some level, similar taste in music because it crosses over with so many other things. having a similar likes in music means we can go to most of the same gigs together and generally will have similar interests in other things like movies and books

- must like cats or at least not hate cats.

- must be tolerant and patient.

i can't really think of much else that i set up as absolutes. i tend to judge people incredibly quickly anyway because i have so little tolerance for people who i decide i don't like

Somehow these criteria are less specific than the ones already posted.

Non smoker
Not a total alco
Has a job/ is studying/ whatever (as long as they don't do nothing at all)
Someone I respect & who respects me
Male
Is there for me & is considerate
Is good to talk to and also lets me get a word in edgewise
Is not a whinger
Has a few interests outside of the following: TV, computer games, fleeting obsessions. Must be able to stay entertained without the use of technology.

My Ideal (to some extent negotioable):
Is not too opinionated
Is alright at saving money and such
Is interested in travel
Is interested in camping/outdoors (and pref hiking too)
Dresses okay (doesn't have to be amazing with clothes but at least recognises that there is a time and a place for torn jeans and baggy t-shirts)
Pulls me up on stuff if I'm being stupid
Gets along with people
Is not a total exhibitionist

Preferences
Likes similar music to me
Has healthy sleeping patterns
A person whose idea of cooking is not putting a jar of premade pasta sauce in the microwave for 2 minutes on high.
Enjoys the following movies: Juno, Chocolat and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (ie. gets my sense of humour)
Is interested in reading
Is an alright dancer
Is insightful & not a total dumbarse
Not fat


I've never met anyone who meets most/all of these, and I don't expect to. If they are nice enough, we get along, we have fun, we can talk about stuff then I'm happy.

I think that it's wrong that people think that is a given that women cook. Some girls/women actually work at a senior level ie... DINKS...

trustworthy, caring, loving, 100% support, your own personal emergency call (replacement for 000), makes me feel special 24/7, humour is a must, finacially stable (has some form of income) (money cannot buy love!), unconditional love, not a smoker (but if it is love then i'll help them thru their addiction and help them to quit =])

loooks are not AS important in the person itself. if you love them 4 their personality you'll learn and grow to love them for waht they look like (that is if you have some 'concerns' about appearance)
