I am doing both at the moment (Yr 11). I actually like both...It's interesting to learn how living things work...at times, it CAN be boring (very boring) but my teacher is pretty good...and chemistry is really good too...but i find a lot of it revision..so, it can get tiresome at times...otherwise, it's pretty interesting too...but i loathed the metals topic...it was such a drag :mad1:

but, ya...go for either...personally, i would choose chemistry...just because it is more interesting...but then again it depends on ur personal interests...:)

Imo.

Chem > Phys > Bio.

Im in year 11 too. Personally, I find physics a walk in the park. It's so easy! The hardest topic you'll probably do is motion. You have to put a bit of hard work into that. Lots of memorizing there. But other then that, goshh, things are easy.

Chemistry on the other hand can get hard. Besides all the memorizing of chemicals and their valcenies you have to do, you have to also get your head around the process of equations and their formulas. Now that gets tricky. But chemistry is simply amazing! The things you learn is just !! (l)(l)(l) .....explains the world.

Do chemistry, if you dont like it, go to biology.

But at the end of the day, it's all about how much effort you put into that subject.

+1

Both prelim physics and chem were quire dull and easy, but they get more interesting in year 12 ^^
I can agree that the courses are pretty dull as prelim... but I think it'd be fair to say that almost all courses get better for the HSC year (since you adapt to them as well).

If I could +rep you again... i would ^_^

Of course Biology is only memory skills... if you like it, even better :D

Chemistry is of course skills... but it is becoming quite the memory and reasoning subject.

N/A
Or you could do both, make a judgement, and drop bio when you find out it sucks
Or you could do both, and make use of the bio periods to do chem/math
Or you could take a gander at the syllabus and see what you think of both and then burn the bio syllabus
Or you can give yourself an uppercut for choosing bio later, because its the shittest waste of time you could possibly undertake.

WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT AUSTRALIAN BIOTA HONESTLY WTF

+ neg rep
