Firstly... and this is my anti-Mac rant... just warning.

Macs are good at a very few specific tasks. They work for anyone and work easily without hassle, they have reasonable life, good support and good battery life.

They DO NOT: have up to date parts... graphics card a few years and processors about 9 months behind the trend.

They DO NOT: have better battery life, there are computers with much better battery life out there.

They cannot run any decent games or graphics editing, particularly graphics editing... YES I did just say that.

They DO NOT have an immunity to viruses whatsoever.

They ARE more expensive.

They ARE more fragile.

If you want to do more than the set tasks that a Mac is designed to do it's a ridiculously fiddly process...
:)

No mate, the graphics card (nvidia geforce 9600M GT) was released in July 2008 - you call that a few years?? i dont see much laptops that have something better than an intel core 2 duo processor

LOL - latest mbp's have UPTO 7 HOURS BATTERY LIFE. you show me a laptop with that much battery life.

Ok, true that they arnt the best for graphics editing, but about software - they can run bootcamp (hence its ability to run windows) so software is not an issue

They are not immune - true, but they are significantly less prone to viruses. A windows machine without some sort of antivirus program will die in less than 3 months. an apple computer on the other hand can live easily without any sort of antivirus programs - as im doing right now

A cost thats worth it. you are probably spend heaps more on top of what you paid when you factor in all the extra antivirus programs, the cost of fixing the shit up, new batteries, etc.

Mate, they are carved from a single block of aluminum. take your plastic junk elsewhere.

set tasks that a mac is destined to do? lol. it can do any of what your windows computers can do + more, and much more efficiently :)

Macs are used everywhere as GFX designing tools, check any decent GFX industry and they will be running Macs.

From what i have heard and seen, ASUS tends to be the best buy. However yes every product does have issues and problems, in saying so Dell has many more problems and issues then ASUS

Toshiba Satellites sound good too.
