Hahahahaha! You have a harder book to do. Our book it Catcher In The Rye, I think it's way easier to do for that quote we're given.

I read this in yr 9 advanced english. I really liked it actually, especially the quote
ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL
BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS.

Animal farm is good, but 1984 is heaps better!!

It is ironic that Eric Blair (aka Orwell) considered himself to be left of centre on a political scale, yet at the same time he insults his moral belief in the books.

Enjoy animal farm and if u get the chance read 1984!

I'm halfway through it now, like it...but have stopped reading it due to having to The Picture of Dorian for English. That is also good.

just finished it.

reading it was ok but loved the message.

it's a parody of stalinism right
and how much it detracted from communism/animalism
Orwell was a socialist himself.

Studying it in English currently. I thought it was quite good.

Yeah but what you learn about Communism in school is almost always so bias.

My favourite book and the second greatest display of writing skill after catch 22 in my humble opinion. Have devoured it dozens of times. It is the perfect allegory whereby no other book has really been so perfectly allegorical.

If you can say Stalin implemented socialism

I don't think the workers had control over production (core of socialism) just like the animals obviously didn't have control over their lives and production etc etc blah blah.

I think I understood most of the allegories, but was Boxer supposed to represent an individual? (if so, I didn't see it) or just the masses perhaps?

I loved the simplicity yet cleverness of the book. It flowed so well.
