Module B - Critical study: Harwood
Module C - Conflicting perspectives: Wag the Dog
Hopefully my essays to them were good ^^
yep it is 40% for 1st one and 60% for the secondHeyA!
I heard the English paper 1. is 40% and paper 2. 60%...
How'd you all find the exam timewise?
Good job ^^standard english XD i did some philosiphisationing in part 2, i think i had the independent paper, looking good tho for my rank back... talked to the girl coming 1st n she said she stuffed up =P lucky me!!! lol.
If you're talking about the CSSA trials and it's true, hurrrrahhhhhhhhhhhh!HeyA!

thnxGood job ^^
the same i think... but internal marks will be higher in advanced. i think thats right lol. go on the uac website they explain itJust curious,
Does Standard and Advanced scale the same for English, or is there a slight difference?
Depends on your school. Ours in 25% (paper 1 10%, paper 2 15%).What is the weighting of the english advanced trial?
it was an alright paperstandard english XD i did some philosiphisationing in part 2, i think i had the independent paper, looking good tho for my rank back... talked to the girl coming 1st n she said she stuffed up =P lucky me!!! lol.
That's not how weighting usually works though. Like in maths you could have 2 sections worth the same amount of marks but the weighting for each section might differ... then again we're talking about english teachers here so you could be right :rofl:Lol obviously it would be 40% for paper 1 and 60% for paper 2 seeing how paper 1 is only 45/105 and paper 2 is 60/105
umm it would seem that i can't remember the 1st paper except the first 2 questions, O.O lol. umm i'm not completely sure if it was the independent paper, maybe u can tell me, first question had a visual of penguins and penkuins, then a poem then... i dunno if i should say it all incase ppl havnt done it yet, and i get banned XDit was an alright paper
what points did u talk about in the belonging essay, so nervous
hehe lol i already know the figures of band sixes in standard and the numbers have been trippling every year for the last few years. here page 35 have a read, View attachment 19013Not really. The UAC release scaling statistics for each year, and if you scroll down you can see the comparison between marks in standard and advanced:
Table A3
Also, if you go here you will see that 0.23% of all students doing standard actually get a band 6. That's about 74 students, of the 32000 that do it.
wait ur in advanced XD, althought the question was still the same lol, i still dnt remember wat it was... i hope i do as good as the half yearly, 5th in the year, beat ppl in EE2, EE1 and most of advanced =)it was an alright paper
