that looks good, but it really depends on what u wanna use it for.

What will u be using you're laptop for? If its just for web browsing, word processing, then its good, maybe even get a netbook.

it will make animated gaming faster as well as your internet speed, its really up to you but i would suggest it (also if you tend to have lots of programs open at the one time, it will help your comp to be faster)

look at this

Why more RAM is Better ?

i know the more ram the better. but i don't think that i will be CSing or opening many windows, but say just for the sake of it, i brought an extra 2GB or ram, how much would it cost? and what does it mean by genuine vista business with genuine windows XP installed (can someone explain what this means?!?!)

also, look for something with 2GHz dual core and 2 gigs ram, that should be good for what u wanna use it for.
As for hacking the CIA, i suggest three PS3's.
Is there a difference between 'netbook' and 'notebook' ??? O___o!!!
NOTEbook is a regular laptop.

NETbook are smaller, around 8-10", have at least 5hrs battery power, and are good if u ONLY (note: ONLY) wanna use it for web browsing and word processing.
They dont have the cpu/graphics for gaming (flash games and gba roms should be fine), and movies might not run well, some dont even have cd/dvd drives lol!.
Netbooks are also quite cheap too.

how apple macbooks can have over 5hrs battery power is beyond my understanding, considering their cpu/ram is WAY more than netbooks.

ok with the vista and XP installed...
i think this means one of two things..
1. it has a dual boot configuration of vista and xp (although i think this is highly unlikely)
2. You can roll back to xp if you want to

.. thatt shuld help :)

That seems fine for the price and will easily cover any schooling/university needs. Plenty of space + ram + speed etc.

Personally,
i would spend a bit more now, and get more.
computer technology is rapidly evolveing and with that so is software, so right now where a 2.16Gz and 2 GB DDR2 laptop will be sufficiant, it possably will not in the near future.

I just purchised my self a new laptop ($2980) however you dont need to spend this as i am doing large file programming and Lighting CAD (drama).

find out what programs exactly you will use (and any others that might come in the near future) look at the specs then multiply that by 0.2 and that is about what you will need to get yourself through the next 3 years... just.

Peace

fair enough then.

if you have the money, then go for the alienware, but i think there's a really good msy gaming laptop out (its black with glowing red bits, so looks pretty awesome too), which would probably be cheaper than alienware.

Asus is worth checking out too imo.
