Bdogz, high 40's low 50's /84 is shit; But it depends on what ATAR your aiming for. . . .

If you're aiming for 85, It's reasonable
95, You need to step it up
99, No chance.

And to the person above me. I am not lyounamu but...
Find dSA/dt; and equate to 0.1 and solve for k, and Voila, you get your answer ( which is 2 btw )

High 40s and low 50s is not shit, a bit harsh, high 40s and lows 50s i reckon is above state average, i reckon state average is like in the 30s.

High 40s and low 50s will probably be 40/50

I really hope it was 2 because i came out of the exam asking eveyone what they got and they all said k = 1

lmao, i spent ages (about 7 minutes) trying to simplify my sin and cos soup, to then realise the t method which got me the answer
can you tell me how to do it?
was the question
tan2x + tanx
----------------
tan2x + cotx

show = tan^2x?

I stuffed that one up... I wish I simply had remembered the result properly and I wouldn't have thrown 3 marks away.

just change the tan2x into its single angle formula and cotx to 1/tanx
then just simplify
can you show me? i couldnt get it...maybe i wrote question wrong?

EDIT: is the sign ontop a "-" insetad of a "+" if so then i can do it... i think i copied it wrong..zomgg no wonder i couldnt get it in exam =[

what did u get for the last projectile question?
i expressed the equation as a quadratic in terms of tan@ but when i used the quadratic formula, it didn't simplify

hmm answer is 2x3^n isnt it

Q: [(2^4n x 3^2n)/ (8^n x 6^n)] + 3^n

2^4n x 3^2n
------------------------ +3^n
2^3n x 3^n x 2^n

cancel...
u get 3^n + 3^n = 2 x 3^n
I remember getting something like that

just change the tan2x into its single angle formula and cotx to 1/tanx
then just simplify
Yeah I expanded using normal double angle and simplified. At first I tried changing to sin and cos but that screwed me over, so I ended up playing with just tans and i got it.
