ok i recently did a speech assesment worh 15%
my english teacher hates my guts because i don't particpate in class discussion and i've ran out of classrooms a lot of times due to personal reasons (usually just before the bell)
it's so obvious that she hates me

i got the lowest mark in the speeches in my class
12/20
while others got mostly 15 and over

her comment was
" you talk to softly, ad try to expand and explain your ideas more effectvely, no eye contact"

OMG I DON:T BELIEVE THIS
my friend was like right after my speech " GOsh your have one loud voice"
and i even memorised my speech and i had eye contact full on during my speech
my speech wasn't even that bad compared to other people and they got higher than me..


what can i do?
do i tell the head teacher or something..she'll prob believe my teacher more
and i have no proof..what can i do??
she was surely bias towards me..

All you can do is talk to your head teacher, if you think your speech was good and your teacher thought it was shit.

did she record the assessment? i thought in year 12 they had to... if she has, show the assessment to the co-ordiator

As a teacher who has to mark oral assessment I am not aware of any requirement for them to be recorded.

My department at my school requires students to submit a written copy of their speech but no requirement to have them recorded.

Unfortunately, in an oral assessment, where only one teacher is marking, it is very hard to get a change in the marking as you have to prove that the teacher stuffed up.

I hate them as my school won't allow me to have a second marker arguing that I am a professional and that it would cause too much disruption to other classes.

oh wait no, i'm in VCE, sorry, i think to record it is a better system so if there is conflict over marks they can be easily re-assessed, good luck talking to your co-ordinator tho!!

Yeah, for all speeches at our school, we had at least 2 teachers marking.
