(and I did do a search on this and nothing came up, I stopped when the results got to Nov '08 - it would have been a bump anyway



However, I'd like to point out what my modem tells me:

I'm pretty happy with it, I'm on ADSL2+ with TPG.

Yea you are. You're current download speed is 5120 kb/s, or 677.5 kB/s. 8 bits (b) = 1 byte (B). So 300-500 kB/s seems about right to me.
