hey guys, just wanted to ask a question for the geo short/long responses..
would you talk about things (such as coastal management and aid, trade, migration) in general or relating to a specific case?

for example, coastal management of collaroy beach
and australia giving aid to zimbabwe?

thanks :)

depends on the question. though unless stated, i would just write broadly
for eg. coastal degradation is an issue across australia, rather than, coastal degradation is an issue in bondi beach

hmm, then should i generalise at the beginning then go on to mention specific cases? :/

cos the questions sound like they mean it generally,
but then there wouldn't be a point to remember a case study?
(which is what my teacher told me to do)

Generalise what you'd do and then mention a case study if you remembered one.

I didn't include any case studies at all when i did my SC because i didn't study but i still got a great mark XD

it's suppose to be general- they usually give you the OPTION of choosing a specific case. for example for migrants they might say outline how the vietnam war has effected one chosen migrant group ...or wateva. :)
