Prep: Medentry course (2 weeks before UMAT) + practise papers from ACER +few medentry papers. did medentry trial and got estimate 70-80 percentile for UMAT so its bullcrap.

Lol - First timer for UMAT, can't say they're fantastic results, but here they are:

S1 - 57
S2 - 48
S3 - 62

Overall = 167

Percentile = 80

A little bit bummed - especially with section 2. I was gunning for medicine with UNCLE (JMP), but I'm guessing this is no where near high enough, is it? Can some one confirm this for me - is it even worth having medicine on my UAC form?????

Oh well, chin up - might be seeing some of you guys next year at UMAT then?? lol

Well done everyone, especially the ppl who got above 90 percentile, brilliant! But i'll also say to those ppl who perhaps didn't do so well, there is always next time- if you really want it, you will get it. Never, never, never give up.
Btw can you get into Adelaide uni with raw score 58 and percentile 86??

sorry mate, but you can only get dentistry interviews with those scores. perhaps also UQ provisional medicine.

lol? medical interviews more than 80 percentile. at least high 80s.



anyways, i will just say this. if your UMAT score is below 85% (equivalent to roughly 175), then you probably wont get an interview for medicine (unless you are a home state applicant applying for UWA or UTas. however, you do have a chance for dentistry, provisional medicine or unis that dont require the UMAT. hopefully this post will stop people from asking if they have a chance at a med interview or not.

Thank God for being rural... Pretty pissed off that being rural made me unable to go to any of the prep type things though... I hate country Australia, we get such a shit deal from the governments...

Don't play the victim here. You're already getting a significant concession because of you 'being rural', and it's not like it's impossible to get preparation without going to a 'prep type thing'.

Don't blame the government for your stupidity. I didn't do any preparation, I got:

60, 69, 62 = 64 (97th percentile)

JCU which doesn't look at UMAT, Bond (private full fee paying unvieristy 52K+/year), slim change with UWS (GWS resident) provided they didn't change the weightings, but they prob will.

No I got 1 more mark with 170 making 56 and 80%.
My friend got 167 with 56 and 80% and
another got 173 with 58 and 86%?

is there any chance there is something wrong with my marks? like scaled down or something getting 170 with 56???

sorry, not with 170. its unlikely that something went wrong i think u may just have the scores wrong or something. but generally go by the raw marks not the percentiles.
