Just wondering what my ATAR may be.
The ranks are including everything, minus the actual HSC of course :S

English Advanced: 20/81
English Extenstion 1: 6/11
English Extension 2: 2/5
Biology: 12/25
Chemistry: 13/15
Ancient History: 1/15

School is ranked 381st in NSW.

Your school rank is worrying.

If your cohort's ability is reflective of it's rank as a whole, then you might get screwed over.

Mid 70s.

It's hard to predict because there's so many variables that could affect your ATAR.

hmmmmmm
well what about EAS? i applied and got accepted for it so how much further do you think i could go in terms of ATAR?

and i can probabably improve my chemistry ranking, aiming for 80% in HSC exam, would those two things improve the ATAR much?

EAS doesn't change your ATAR. It just lowers the ATAR cutoff for Universities.

Obviously, yes! Remember the HSC is 50% internal and 50% external. Go well enough in your external exams and there is no reason why you can't get into the 80's or 90's.

well i know what EAS does obviously
but regardless it still does help in terms of ATAR, up to 10 points i hear!
what i'm really asking is whether or not it will enable me to reach, say 79?

Well, if you think EAS raises your ATAR, you obviously don't know too much about it. EAS doesn't raise your ATAR.

omg i know, i just said it helps lower the cut off. so if i get 70.00 ATAR and the course i want is 80.00, with EAS i may get an offer cause the cut-off is lowered by 10 points possibly (depending on the level of disadvantage). correct?

Bullshit. You didn't say it helps lower the cut off. You said and I quote, 'it still does help in terms of ATAR'.

But yeah, in this post: 'omg i know, i just said it helps lower the cut off. so if i get 70.00 ATAR and the course i want is 80.00, with EAS i may get an offer cause the cut-off is lowered by 10 points possibly (depending on the level of disadvantage). correct?' - you are correct.
