I've asked before, but now I've got back my proper rankings:
Our school came 504th last year

Advanced English: 9/18 Trial Mark: 74%
English Extenion 1: 5/8 Trial Mark: 76% (second best trial mark damnit!)
English Extension 2: 3/6
General Maths: 11/40 Shitty trial mark: 48%, but saved by assessments
Community and Family Studies: Equal 3/6 Trial: 64% (everyone bombed on trial though)
Drama: 2/11 Trial Mark: 95%

I need somewhere between 74-78 for the course I want, but am aiming for 85.5 just because I feel like I probably should aim a little higher haha.

Estimates anyone?

Really?! So 80-ish wouldn't be possible even if I do real good in the actual HSC?

Dont listen to the 2010'er. He has no idea. Your looking at around 80 i would say. Higher if you ace externals

really?... i think it would be low to mid 70s but this is my first estimate i've given since forever lol

Thanks. I'm hoping so. With my CAFS half yearly I got around 85% so I'm trying for that and beyond for HSC. Just the trial exam screwed everyone up. Ahh I wish God would just give me a good ATAR.
Does school ranking have THAT much of an impact on ATAR?

Your school rank does not affect your atar THAT much. You will get what you deserve. Ie if you deserve 85 you will get 85, regardless of school rank
