I am:
25/63 in advanced english
10/23 in mathematics
7/17 in physics
1/13 in software design and development
2/14 in information processes and technology

I put my trial marks in a uai calc and it gave me a shocking 41.8! I know it doesn't take ranks into account but they arent going to help me much at all.

I am after a UAI of 70 which means i need at least 75 or more in each subject and that is really not gunna happen for maths so, am i completely screwed?

you seem to be doing well rank-wise, so it's a little strange you'd get 41.8. What is your school ranked?

Hmm, not sure what my school is ranked, is there a way of finding out on line?

Hmm, as 'bad' as that may be, that is definitely not 41.8. It should be more around 75.

what you got in the trial is not necessarily what you would get in the HSC...

also, try putting in your overall marks instead

Well, I guess it's just one of those 'do your best' things and wait for the result.

you gotta do something about that 25 in maths. you won't actually get that for your HSC mark though. if thats your raw mark, they'll scale it. try multiplying that number by 0.4 and adding 44.

its (maybe) the formula our head teacher uses to scale our trial marks but i cant remember it exactly. they scale all our marks to reflect HSC scaling to give us a realistic outlook on our results.

its okay though, i entered my results in to SAM, and the bastard reckons i'm going to get bloody 79.

im so devastated. ugh.

54, I'm hoping to do WAYY better in the HSC than the trial. Just depends if the ask the stuff I know or the stuff I don't really.

i seriously think my school just set like, super hard trials to scare us. cuz my maths trial was HARDD. and physics. oh man, don't even talk to me bout it.
thats a pretty good mark in physics btw. do the same thing with your physics mark as you maths one and like add, uhm, 10 to your english mark. im pretty sure that will reflect scaling. try entering that in the uai calulator and see what you get.

Phoenix Fury, the UAI calculators use your aligned marks. What you are entering are your raw marks. Aligned marks are always significantly higher than your raw marks, especially if you're not doing that well.
Don't sweat it, you'll get over 70.
