I'm not sure whether this topic belongs to this section (General Discussion on the 2010 HSC Discussion). I apologise if it doesn't. >__<"

Anyways, I was wondering whether you guys have recieved your prelim exam results yet? (Although it's only been the first day of school :L) If so, how were they? Satisfied? Even though the results do not affect the HSC or ATAR, I was just curious how everyone did.

We got all our prelim exam results back last term, since our exams were pretty early [week7]. And we get our reports on wednesday, would be earlier except a lot of our grade is doing the ag HSC tomorrow =\

We had ours (exams) on Wk 9 + 10. I've only gotten my Ancient, Business and Mths test back. =____= Not too good. xD

Got 'em all back today. Looking down the barrel at two "first in subject" awards, and everything else was decent enough. Nothing that can't be improved on with some actual study.

Business Studies, all i know is i got 91%
S.O.R I 48/50
Maths 48/84 :S (Maths is my weakest subject, so thats ok i suppose)

and the rest i am still waiting on

Ancient - 44/50. =____= Ran out of time for my 2nd extended response. Lost like 4 marks there. D: There goes my 1st plcae rank. :L

Business - 72/80 :S Disappointing. Considering I have done better. >__<"

Maths - LOL. fail man. -.-

Hopefully, better results will come. D: I dont expect much from English though T__T

Yeah, i was really disappointed with Business and Eco as well, my lowest scoring marks this year I am dreading getting Modern back, i ran out of time and rushed the second part of my exam. All i know is I did really well on the Holocaust Essay (25 Marks Total) and the Romanov Ext. Responses (25 Marks) from there my Beginning of the Twentieth Century was shaky but decent and don't even get me started on the Qing Dynasty responses....this really upsets me because i was capable of doing very well, but my time management failed me and now it may jepordise my chances of Ext. History :S

Same, time management is a real problem for me. >_<" I always write too much on one section and not sufficient for the other (due to time factor). Seeing that you have confidence in your most of your extended reponses, you should be fine with entering into History Extension. All the best

pretty good, but prelims count for nothing. I'm studying for my first assessment task now

biology: 66/76 after a recount
english advanced: 17/20 (improved)
extension english: 37/45 (improved)
drama: 25/30 (my worst so far)
chemistry: was taken back but i think it was around 50%
but i'm not panicing because the year average was 53.5%
advanced maths: 27% (yes they kicked me out)

and my religion long term substitutes both said to stop asking and it's not their fault every religion teacher at our school has another subject they must mark first.

i'm very unhappy with that. there goes my goal of medicine

rankings for yearlies:
20/~103 for 2u nd 3u maths =(
2/107 for chem prac and 18th for theory
11/60 something for phys theory and 43 for phys prac
bio i dont noe the rankings but i noe i didnt get good
english i did pretty good but dont noe rankings (around top 20)
shit results as a consequence of procrastination and lack of studying...iv learnt my lesson though =D

93% in Ext 1 maths (1st in exam)

But I bombed out earlier in the year so overall rank is 4th. Anyway congratulations to everyone else on their results. Keep up the good work, and don't worry because you start on a clean slate next year! Good luck to anyone who hasn't received their results yet.

Maths - 63% (there were 4 questions in there that we haven't even done in class)
Eco - 67%
SDD - 51% (30 min study before exam + left out about 4 pages)
Legal - 67 % (did't really bother with second essay cos hand cramp and well.. it's yr 11 )

Still haven't got german back. But maths rankings especially were so tight, my friend also got 48 for 3u and was ranked 23, and a guy in my class got 50/50 and was ranked 4th >___o
