I can't solve Question 5. (d) (ii) 2005 HSC Paper although i have the correct method because it overloaded my casio calculator, fx-100AU (too many digits).

I'm aware of how stupid this sounds but I need help.

P(RRR) = 100/300 x 99/299 x 98/298 = 1617/44551
.:p(NR) = 1-P(RRR)
=42934/44551
Yeh when you 1-(Ans) you get a decimal which wont go into fraction form. To find the numerator just times the decimal by the denominator

first question
P(RRR) 100/300x99/299x98/298
=970200/26730600
=0.036295481

second question:
1-0.036295481

third question:
draw tree diagram,(if you need to)
there are six outcomes for getting one of each colour

6x(100/300x100/299x100/298
=0.224461852

lol so how about in fraction form

edit: IS DECIMAL FORM ACCEPTABLE/REWARDED WITH THE ACCORDING MARKS ????????
It should I think. Since marking criteria usually states correct answer or equivalent merit?

if it doesnt say leave it in fraction form or something about to the nearest decimal, you can leave your answer in any form

note: when leaving in decimal and you need to round, specify whereyou have eg pi
3.14 (two decimal places)
