the excitement and suspense are just KILLING me

i hoep you found that essay well

im a help to all

damn i wish i lived near someone who did chem with me who i actually like eh? i want someone to quiz me on all these protecting groups in chem and whatever. lectures notes seem to indicate that carbamates aren't going to be very important which is good because since i never learned how to make/cleave a carbamate formally, it will be difficult to remember for the sexam

just remember nebber - everything in the lecture notes

question 3 if you put a carbamate in a test tube and then put 3 mols of protecting group into the same test tube and then put it in a bunsen burner what would happen and also how do you make acid

I am 22 years and five months old.

Pathetic, isn't it? :(
Age is just a number :) According to the Chinese, 2 means "easy" so your 22nd year should be (or have been so far), doubly easy. How did your thesis go? And any light on where you're headed next year?

you dont make acid, you buy it. it's easy to make meth, but hard to make LSD

but if you wanted to make lsd i suggest obtaining some lysergic acid (good luck with that). Then I guess something like this

LA + thionyl chloride
then
diethylamine
+pyridine to soak up the excess HCl

if you get ergotamine tartrate (much easier to come across) then cleave the NH-C bond selectively (no idea how to do that). probably easier just to cleave the amide bond and then do the same as above actually.

i reckon you'd get shit yields for those and it'd be far easier to do a search of erowid

man ive never tried lsd but i want to hey :(

uh LSD is actually a really hard synthesis. you probably need a PhD in organic chemistry and about 5 years of lab experience to do it right

yeah if you make it from scratch

and i wasn't suggesting that. i suggested going from the big building block of lysergic acid (or ergotamine) and then simply sticking an amine onto the carboxylic acid

you tool
