a trapezium has 3 sides which are 4 cm, 10 cm and 13 cm.... the 4th side is x need to find x and the perimeter of the trapezium???:(

my math is really bad, but i'd guess it'd be 4cm coz 2 of the sides would be the same length, since the top and the bottom are likely to be longer than the side lengths that connect them, i'd guess that it's for. ROFL sozz, im not too good with using formulas :S

last side is 5 cos of pythag. so the perimeter is 32cm

A question I got wrong in my trial: "Write an expression for the quotient of q^2 and 2 less than p." Does anyone know how to approach this?

Sin X = 12.5 / 26
X = Inverse Sin -1(12.5 / 26)
X = 28 degrees, 44 minutes,
Rounded up to 29 degrees.

quotient is division. Just the division word like addition (plus), subtraction (minus), product (times).

Therefore:
q^2 divided by p-2
Make it a fraction! q^2 over p-2

77 x 15 + 23 x 15

Do it on paper. Multiply the first bit (put in your own brackets), then multiply the second bit, then add them.


(77 x 15) + (23 x 15)

OOOOHHHH i have a better method

77 x 15 + 23 x 15

^^^^ look at the common factor... ie. 15
u get this a lot in maths comp.s
so 15(77+23) = 15(100) = 1500

Umm, well, I know it's not as necessary, but I won't study maths if it's not on BoS tonight, so I started. Everyone join in!

Don't know how this will work, just copy and paste questions from past papers I suppose. Here goes!

Question:
Jarrod has 43 stickers, Timothy has 27 and Abigail has 14. Jarrod wants them to
share the stickers equally.
How many stickers will Jarrod have to give away so that all three children have
the same number of stickers?
well at least it isn't maths debating xD jksjks dont sue me

my question off the top of my head... 3 builders complete a job in 40min
how long for 5?
tell me if this sort of question has already been done

Yeah I just had a look at it.
Add the 77 and 23, = 100.
Times by 15 which gives you 1500.

oh 22. its 1/3 i think and for 24. 11 is the first number and it increases by 4 so u get 11 + 4(150-1) = 607 its 150-1 coz the first number is eleven

3:2:1 = 6:4:2

Half of chocolate gone - 3:4:2

Fraction of the cartons remaining - 3/9 = 1/3

Formula: Tn= a + (n-1)d
a (first term) = 11
n (term number you want) = 150
d (arithmetic difference) = 15-11= 4

To confirm it is an arithmetic sequence: 15-11=19-15=4
Thus arithmetic

T150
= 11 + (150-1) x 4
= 11 + 149 x 4
= 11 + 596
= 607
