How bad do you have to go to get an E1?

Yewwwwww E2 gets me 4 extra credits for uni.1.61% of candidates for the 2008 HSC
I assume that you just gotta do close to non-attempt.
if they (the people getting E1) put close to no effort into the 4u course y wud they pick it up in the first place? =S
tru that lolWho cares lol
You can put in half an effort and still do really well. It aligns ridiculously.
No. Scaling is what the UAC does. BOS Aligns raw marks which fits them to each band.Don't you mean scaled?
Besides, my teacher was an English HSC marker and he recalls one story - worth 15 marks - which simply read, "Screw you."
That may be sad, but his or her attempt highlights two things.
1. The person has a good mindset - the HSC is not the be-all and end-all. They aren't overstressing on it.
2. It's people like them who push our marks up!

Go aligningAn 11/84 aligned to 34/100 (17/50) in Mathematics Extension 1 in 2003...lol
So, after it's been aligned to say, 90/100, UAC will scale that up a bit further?Well it obviously varies with cohort but you could probably get 80/120 raw and get 90/100 aligned.
Yup because MXT2 scales upSo, after it's been aligned to say, 90/100, UAC will scale that up a bit further?
I love scaling90/100 would scale to around 95-98/100, wouldn't it?
+1i love scaling
some do it so that 3U can count for 2 unitsif they (the people getting E1) put close to no effort into the 4u course y wud they pick it up in the first place? =S
