Hello all,

What's the best Biology option topic for the HSC? Purely based on your opinion, that is. Bias has a place here; I'm interested to see what people think. I haven't started Year 12 Bio, but the Genetics option appeals most to me if I had to pick one. Your thoughts? Vote on the poll!

Wow, you really are bummed about not getting to do Genetics. Biotechnology must have sucked...

Communication is great, I find it very interesting, plus we got to dissect an eye and a brain

Genetics has got to be more interesting than communication! Genetics is my favourite part of Biology!

Genetics is the best, most interesting area of Biology as a whole, not just at the HSC-level. Full stop. Agreed?

Not all my posts are repetitive, just 90% of them are.

And I didn't do this on purpose, I haven't actually read my first post apart from the first time I wrote it, about 3 whole months ago. :rofl:

My girlfriend Patrizia did Communication in 2009. It's excellent. In my free periods I joined the Bio class and helped them dissect a brain, dissect an eye and model the structure of an ear.

These body parts were all mammalian.

And is it just me, or was the 2009 Biology paper really easy? Pat got a Band 6- 95/100 and I looked at it and could have easily got 60/100 from Year 10 Science knowledge. Anyone else find Bio really easy?

I wish I'd done it properly. It would have boosted my ATAR to 99.00 for sure, wouldn't have got 75/100 in it, which is what I got for Food Tech.
