Am currently in the process of finalising preferences and had a few quick questions that I would appreciate some help with;
-with an engineering commerce degree am I required to choose my stream of engineering when I enrole? (as I am currently unsure of whether to do civil or mechanical) if no when must I choose?
-do I have to choose my commerce majors?
-is 5.5 years too long to be at uni?(yes I know very individual question)
-is engo commerce or straight engineering a harder degree?
-are the contact hours for the double degree higher or the same?

Thanks in advance for your help

you dont have to explicitly decide your major until the end of 1st year but you should enrol in the correct electives for your engineering major so its best you decide now for your own good.

yes, i would rather spend 4 years in a bachelor of mechanical engineering then go for masters which takes up another 1.5 to 2 years
rather than 5.5 years for a double bachelor's degree.
life is short.

-is engo commerce or straight engineering a harder degree?
as long as you got engineering there you have raised the difficulty and made it more fun.

-are the contact hours for the double degree higher or the same?
since you are doing engineering/commerce you will have less contact hours than someone who does engineering only.

I have the same questions especially about the amount of contact hours if you do a double.

I am planning on doing Eng/Com at UOW and im not too sure how it works so far.
Anybody who knows what the deal is please enlighten me.
