Well my teacher doesn't want to do Communication because it's too big. Any recommendations on any other topics which will be simpler?

It is big. But it all interrelates. And it is by far the easiest. Physics and Chem work well with this option.

DON'T DO HUMAN STORY. DON'T DON'T DON'T! worst, most BORING thing i've ever done. EVER
I did human story, it's alright. It can get kinda dull and boring but is quick to learn and was easy to understand. Although, i think most of the content just requires memorization. I think it's the shortest option too :S.

Boxhunter: how does communication relate to physics and chem?

Physics - lightly with refraction.

Chem - rhodopsin, retinal, opsin? (im grasping at anything here)

genetics is quite hard a lot of it inter-relates with blueprint of life it's interesting but difficult comunication is by far the easiest with a good balance of comprehension and retention. It's up to your school in the end.

Well the class could ask to have a vote on it where the teacher's vote only counts for 1 and is not worth more. I'd do genetics, but that's because I loved it in Year 10, love it still and will maybe even do a Bachelor of Genetics at ANU. :)

From personal opinion having had a good look at most options, Communication is one of the most interesting and simple options so I would recommend it.

In my opinion Genetics - the code broken can get somewhat tricky in parts and quite conceptual, so if you struggle with basic genetics as in "Blueprint of Life" try to avoid this option.

Human Story and Biotechnology are generally quite simplistic but can be somewhat boring with quite a bit of memorising.

Biochemistry is somewhat difficult as it touches some first year uni topics, but quite interesting.

Genetics is good for post-uni biology degree.
And also, imo its good option if you're a logical, scientific kind of bent. Hard conceptually at times, but also more intetrresting.

Is the topic "The Human Story" any good? cuz I think we're doing that as an option topic for Year 12.

Communication is the best option to choose. Its easy and has heaps of good resources on it. I don't know if its correct, but my teacher said like 60% of the state does it.

Yes, communication has a lot of dot points. However, it is not big. The dot points are all very simple and you can learn three or four of them in a day. The dot points are also mainly just common sense and memorisation.
