Lol, you can just flick through them at the bookshop and make your own opinion as to what books you'd prefer.

Also, a good 3 Unit book (I'm assuming for Maths?) for year 11 would depend on your skill level. Accelerated Math Learning 3 Unit is good as a teach-yourself guide, however doesn't have too many questions (though you can source questions from just about anywhere, Maths Online (for example).

Cambridge Maths I have found to be really good so far, and was recommended it by a few people now in year 12. It has plenty of questions and is probably more advanced with plenty of more challenging questions than other titles.

Dymocks is usually the best for textbooks, other than specialist education bookshops.

yeah, but that would be too hard to decide, i do flick through the books at the shops, but i dont even know which one is better! yeah im pretty stupid -.-, yep, accelerated maths learning is pretty good, however i dont want to buy it, i borrowed it from the library, and i am planning, when im free in the holidays, to complete a set of important formulas/notes of the whole 2 books year 11 and 12 ext.1 course, then i just return it to the library. so this, sometimes i can refer to it, when im using other textbooks

i got a mathsonline account! my previous school signed me up, hey do you think the school will "unsign" me out of mathsonline since i left their school? hahha, but anyways im planning to print all the questions out for year 11 and 12, just in case my account gets banned or whatever!

I might be wrong about the Excel books. My friend told me that they're crap but I got them just for reference purpose. I got those books from the "sell" section they're cheaper but in good conditions! =) Borrowing from the library is also a good idea. Just have a read through and get a idea. You can also save a bit of money. =P

Oh... I don't do any social science subjects so I'm not sure about them but I've heard that the Excel social science books (eco, business studies, legal) are terrible. But I thought science might be okay.

I figured out 75% of the time I Say Ill study this/do all these past papers

25% the time I stick to it and do them out. (towards the end of the year when I realised I had to kill hsc lol)

But hey, if you don't do those papers/study, you are only fooling yourself .

25% the time I stick to it and do them out. (towards the end of the year when I realised I had to kill hsc lol)

But hey, if you don't do those papers/study, you are only fooling yourself .

Where can you get past papers for year 11?

In the HSC year (accelerated IPT) they were easy to get because you can download all the past years HSC papers and get the Catholic schools trial exams, but year 11 is harder, since there aren't any state wide exams run by the BoS. As well as this schools can teach slightly different material at different times (eg. 1/2 yearly papers would vary a lot, depending on what topic the school did 1st etc)...

I suppose there are always questions in books, but I know past papers themselves (esp in mock exam conditions) are the best way to revise once you have summarised all the material.
