Just thinking the same thing. Ever wondered why it was? Religion is losing against society, and you blame Satan and the society. Cast a look in the mirror and see the sins of Christianity and most other religions.

Anything that restricts my rights or instincts as a human shouldn't exist or effect me unless I consent to it.
Religion can never "lose" to society. There will always be those who maintain their faith against the sinful temptations accepted and even encouraged by our society.

How could you be offended by the amount of people against cannibalism? Have you yourself ate someone?
Nup. Would I be able to talk about it if I did without getting banned/shit for it? I take the notion of cannibalism very casually, I'm pretty desensitised about it.

In short, I feel that these things (incest, prostitution, drug use) are not wrong in and of themselves but they have a tendency to occur within the context of exploitative relationships.
Yes, I 100% agree with that, unfortunately.

I have placed an asterix next to drugs because I think regulation is warranted depending on the nature of the substance
Regulation schmegulation.

For better want of a word, I'll say 'has decreased at an exponential rate over the last century'.
And there will always be people with skitzophrenia, pedophilia and cancer too. I doubt religion will ever be non-existent.

I meant the kids borne from such a relationship would have down syndrome and autism etc. Bad bad genes.
Couldn't care about the relationship itself. What's a little incest among family, eh?
Um yeah ok but women over the age of 40 who procreate with people they're not related to have higher incidences of autism and Down Syndrome.
People who abuse substances during pregnancy have higher levels of neural tube defects, autism spectrum disorders and other behavioural and physical disabilities.

So unless we preclude a whole chunk of society from breeding because of increased risk of x...

FYI, incestuous couples do not have disabled children 100% of the time, much like older women don't have disabled babies 100% of the time..

So I mean... it's pretty dumb to say incest should not be allowed because if these people have babies then the babies might be tarded...

Popularity proves nothing. That said, more people living in this world believe in religion than those who don't, with 33% of them being Christian (of various denominations).

Regardless, people, have always had a tendancy to do what is quick or easy, what feels good now, and what is popular, rather than what is right.

No, it just means that 33% of people surveyed identify with Christianity because people are morons and think that they have to.

I imagine the percentage of that 33% would include non practicing Christians identifying with Christianity because they believe they need a label.

Well in that regard, I could assume then that many of the people who identify themselves as athiest are in fact practising followers of a faith, but did not want to admit it for fear of persecution or stereotyping by society.

Hardly. With the same logic that you used to assume that a high proportaion of people surveyed claimed they were Christian but were in fact not, I can likewise assume that a large proportion of people surveyed were in fact Christian but chose not to disclose their faith.

Its not dumb, and regardless, you have not put forward any case to support your claim of its stupidity.

The Churches are facing historical low numbers of Church goers.

What does this suggest? It suggests that despite you claiming there being an overwhelming number of people that identify with being Christian, that really they're only identifying with it because they think they have to - not because they're practising Christians.

Well every time numbers drop, you guys claim a crisis of faith and humanity is doomed etc...

So if the numbers were lower once than they are now..
And God didn't smite the earth..

Christ, Son of God, was betrayed and executed. To expect God to smite the earth for this is to miss the point

I'm fine with most stuff really, but I'm against it for kids, because they do not consent willingly and they do not understand what's happening. It's disgusting when people actually watch that shit. Canniablism is sick, and so is necrophilia. The rest is fine, you want to do drugs or gamble, that's your pergative. Don't care about the rest though.
