Go here: UAI Calculator & ATAR Calculator

Pick your subjects, and in the Percentile - put in 50. That is state average, and that's your baseline.

Now if you think you'll do worse than the state average, put 40, or 30, or 20. I wouldn't go anywhere higher than 80 unless you are like at a selective school or are at James Ruse, in which case I'd limit it to 90.

How do you guys come up with these 'realistic' aims...
I really don't know what I could 'realistically' achieve

By using atar calculators with estimated aligned marks or percentiles i guess



Aiming 95.5 or above to beat my ridiculously smart cousin and rub it in

plus i dont really like the idea of not being able to do something, for instance i have no intention of doing law but i'd still like the option, just to know i could do it.

Realistically i could achieve 98+ depending on what goes on this year

& Im aiming for the highest obviously 99.95 but i'll be happy with 95+

aiming for 100, so I have a good excuse for not reaching it haha.
nah, aiming for 99.5+ to beat my cousin [which is of course the most important thing ==], if I start working more I think I could manage 99+, or at least 98+

my sentiments exactly LOL. just to simply know u are able to do a course like law for soem reason is satisfying, even though you dont wna do it. aiming for 98+. preferrably 98.5 *fingers crossed*

The course I'm looking at seems to be climbing higher every couple of years.

I'd essentially need 90+ to get in (or a really good portfolio otherwise).

Realistically, If I busted my ass every day and didn't stop I could achieve a 95+
I'd also be thrilled to have 99.95, meaning dux and scholarship.

its always been impossible for me to break the 90's barrier, i always get like 89, but like i'd be happy wid anythin over 85.

I would love to get 75+ for my uni course/s
but possibly 95+ for a scholarship depending on my commitment and motivation

99.9 for the Scholarship. Barring that I should at least want 99.8 to beat some dropkick girl who's my mum's friend's daughter who got 99.75. Otherwise my mum would be pissed.
