Hi there,

As a full time student, I have enrolled into the standard full-time study load of 4 units/semester. I was thinking about dropping to just 1 unit for this semester only before census date (due to certain circumstances - working to make some $$).

My Q(s): is this allowed? Does MQ have any rules against full-time students doing a part-time study load for one semester? Will they suspend my enrolment if I did this?

Phew.. that was a mouthful.

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Edit -

Oh, and when can I expect to have access to MyMQ / Student portal / Email after enrolling? Having trouble signing in as it gives me aan error msg.

you can be a part time student if you wish...although it does mean you dont get student concession on transport etc....but there is nothing wrong with dropping to part time for as many semesters as you want (afaik)

I think you can have a min of 9 cps and still be full time
or 18 a year... so you can do 7 and 11 to still be full time...

also the OP wants to drop to only 1 unit...so they would almost definatley be part time...unless they do 3 and 15.... thats if the rules havent changed...
