I read the books which I'm reading in my routine. At bedtime it's all peaceful around, no distractions at all so it helps me.

^ So, this thread is also becoming the "I WILL NEVER USE TEH IPAD, NEVAAAARR!!!!1!11 YOUZ CAN PRY OFF MY HARD COPY BOOK FROM MAH COLD DED HANDS!!!!!eleven111!!!1 thread, huh?

I can't open a book before I go to bed. Then I end up doing an allnighter until I finish the book. Yes, I am persistent like that.

^ Quite true, except I also do that with books that aren't that good. Just so that I can get it over with it and move onto another book the next day.

For me if I start reading I HAVE to finish. So everytime I read a bedtime story I end up staying awake till 1am
lol for me unless it's a good book I struggle to finish reading it. I have this book that i started reading last year and I still haven't finished. I started reading it in April for like a month. And then I stopped an started it again in like September. Then i stopped and read a bit in the holidays and now I' haven't picked it up again ever since but I will soon. Sometimes I just start reading a book then I get bored and start reading another book and then I go back to the other book. It's really bad

fr i remember reading the hp & the goblet of fire when i was in year 4 or smth. And i could not get past the first 5 chapters...and once i did, i was cruising. I think I have a bad starting problem.
Same with perks of being a wallflower... i read the first few pages a couple of years ago, didn't understand shit. And a random night before my exams this year i binge read it, one of my fav books of all time def.

do you have book recs that will make me cry when i read it at 1 am?

i used to read before bed so much, i usually couldnt put the book down till over 1 am... then i started doing hsc english, and lets just say being forced to read a book is so much less enjoyable, especially when its as dull as 1984, so now i find no enjoyment in reading anymore. hopefully itll come back after the hsc is over tho
