Makeup Routine (2 Viewers)

How do you apply face before heading out? State what you would do on a normal day (uni and work) and when going out with friends at night.

For me (in order):

Normal day:
* sunscreen
* my daytime mascara, just enough to darken my lashes, not too dramatic
* eyebrow pencil to darken brows
* lip gloss or lipstick (optional, depending on my mood in the morning)

Going out:
* Sunscreen
* Blemish balm (it's like a concealer, foundation and moisturiser in one)
* Darken eyebrows with eyebrow pencil and a bit of shadow
* Black eye shadow
* Black eye liner, only on top
* a more dramatic mascara that lengthens and curls (I apply a volumising one before applying another layer of a lengthening one)
* lipstick (mostly), lip gloss (sometimes) <- depends on outfit

Normal day:

tinted moisturiser with SPF
loose powder on T-zone area
mascara (same as for going out but used a bit more sparingly)
blush if I'm looking especially pale or tired that day
lip balm

going out:

tinted moisturiser and powder as normal
blush
couple extra layers of mascara
lipstick or gloss

I don't really like wearing eyeshadow or liner and only do it rarely if I want to look extra glammed up, otherwise it's pretty much my normal routine but I take more care with it (so about 10 mins instead of 2)

Going out:
Mascara, mineral foundation, eyeliner, lip gloss.
(The hair is where my attention's at)

Moisturiser - depending on how good my skin looks i may or may not apply mineral foundation
lipstick - colour depending on mood and outfit
pencil eyeliner - both top and bottom
liquid eyeliner on top lids
i dont apply mascara anymore because when removing i always manage to pull out a few hairs

if i'm having a really good skin day when i'm tanned and it looks flawless, then nothing.

however if anything needs covering up i go the whole routine.

lots bronzer/blush
lots of eyeliner
just a smear of eyeshadow usually, but sometimes go all out with smokey eyes etc
false eyelashes with even more mascara on top

I've been starting to wear a little bit of brown eyeshadow to highlight my eyes a little more.

That's it p much, I don't like/wear make up.

For me;

Work:

Mineral foundation or any foundation with powder
concealer,
mascara,
blush,
lipstick.
I may put a bit of pink and a nude colored based eye shadow.

Uni -
Tinted or foundation + sunscreen.
Powder (only if liquid foundation is used),
concealer,
mascara,
blush and a bit of shimmer bronze
lipstick or lip gloss. Eyeshadow sometimes or eye pencil instead (brown works best).

Going out -
Pretty much the same with face application (foundation i tend to use one for medium coverage),
powder and concealer,
eye shadow (in three colours, i'll show you a way on how to use it if interested),
eye pencil (in blue or green), i don't have liquid eyeliner since i had bad experiences, but will get one soon!
mascara (a few coats)
blush and a hint of bronzer.
lipstick and lip gloss plus lip pencil.

Overall - my musts are mascara, blush, powder, and lipstick.

It really depends if I'm working/uni/going out/hibernating, but generally:

Moisturiser
Foundation
Concealer
Mascara
Bronzer/Blush

I sometimes add eyeshadow, eyeliner or powder but generally cbf

What do you use to get it off? And what do you take with you when going out for top-ups?

i take my eye makeup off with lancome bi facil remover (best ever) and the rest comes off with my evening mario badescu cleanser

and i dont touch my face ever so i dont need touch ups, but i carry pressed powder for oiliness and whatever lipstick i'm wearing

how long does all that take?

i've actually got it down to a fine art, never takes me longer than 20 mins to do my makeup
