Like Frankenstein, Blade Runner is valued for the fact that it deals with the consequences of humans pretending to be God, integrated with other concerns about the future of humankind. However, it also carries with it that 'sci-fi' attraction of taking its audience into a disturbing world of the broadly credible and not-too-distant future. Why would Blade Runner be considered more valuable as a text than Frankenstein?

however, you shouldn't make a judgment that this element of Frankenstein lowers its value for any audience - its this residual tone of despair that is one of the most powerful parts of Frankenstein, hence raising its value for any audience. The ending is ambiguous? Debatable. Indeed, the ending is quite final. Frankenstein dies, monster flees, never to be seen again. The ending of Blade is much more fragile.. although this doesn't demean its 'value'.and Frank only has Sci-fi and no justice prevails- the monster offs himself and the ending is so ambigious that the audience is left feeling little let down
probably rather than just talking about examples of certain emotion and reason, talk about the interplay between the two and how valuing just one or the other can be incredibly harmful. The intertextuality within Frankenstein (the writings of the old alchemists and natural scientists) reveals the constant discussion regarding emotion and reason and what place they have in human interaction.I NEED HELP!!
