My opinions:

There are three generations, in chronological order na, nb and nc

It sounds like you're looking at an nc.

na and nb are much better. lighter, flightier. hardtop nc is better in security, but as a sports car less so.

They have a very delicate balance of feel vs. grip out of the factory, changing rims (especially going up in sizes) will often make the handling feel worse. If you must change for looks, stick to stock sizes at least.

In conclusion, buy a daihatsu copen.

thanks for your opinion, ill be sure to do some reasearch into it
however im reluctant to go into euro vehicles, perfer to stick with jap

for some reason, still think the mx5 NC RS is still on top

have you test driven one? I haven't driven an NC and I know it's a bit bigger but I really wouldn't want to be 6'1" in the NB. I am 5'11" and with the seat all the way back it is marginally not enough
