Education is the basic factor. ie.:
- Equipment aren't toys
- Form/technique is vitally important
- Your diet is important
- Changes don't happen immediately
- Rest is important
- Drugs are bad (with the exception of some supplements)
- Full body exercise is needed. Only strengthening one area/muscle group is not good.
You should also not perform the same exercises in every routine over and over again. Your muscles become "lazy" and do not benefit as much from a varied workout routine.
