There's some silly stuff that can be ignored in religion, it's a guideline not an absolute. To be fair, Islam is not treated in the media well. Really it's only those who use religion as a cover for horrid activities that say 'Islam means we must degrade women and blow up skyscrapers'. It's terrible when politics and religion intertwine and all you get is the ambiguous stuff that's interpreted as condoning stupidity. Then again any tangling of religion and politics isn't fun, they should always remain separate imo.

Back on track, my two cents... Simon Fuller was in the wrong, abusing his privilege and unfairly heckling the defendant's father. This only reaffirms that one cannot always believe the media.

Maybe if it was a white fella or an Aborigine he would've used different insults to get the response, I dunno (personally doubt it though). We might never know, he's stood down and may never work as a cameraman again, or he could return and pick the battles where there isn't Media Watch and other cameras filming him.
