Why does an AC motor need 2 slip rings rather than one?

also, it allows the current to remain AC and if there is only one, the thing won't work cause ur short circuiting the circuit... but u do get pretty smoke and orange sparks

Can i also ask how would a torque vs time graph look like for an AC and DC
as well as a force vs time graph for an AC and DC and please explain why.
