I'll be starting a band up soon, and I need to think of a band name. This name came from a song that's always hit me - Minstrel's Prayer by Cartel. The lines in their song basically speak out my concept of music and music I'll be creating. It goes:

"I'll hold on to this dream,
this beggar's plea, an optimistic fantasy.
Just hold the hand and drop the knee,
You're facing love,
You're embracing melody."

Anyways, I'm still not sure about it. It seems a little hippy-ish.

'Embracing Melody'. What do you think?

I guess it depends on what the logo looks like. The logo is the clincher - if it looks kinda horror-ish then it would lend towards a more rock/metal feel. If it looks more cursive it might be more a piano band. I don't think with a name like that you'd be doing hip-hop.

I'd be going for a rockish band. Leaning towards a punky, poppish feel.

Honestly, I think it's a band name that you'll look back on in a year or two and feel embarrassed about.

How about "We Burned So Bright" and "We Lived With Passion"? Thoughts?
Is it perhaps too long? So long that people would find it hard to remember?

I think I'll go with We Burned So Bright, even though there's a band over in the UK called Burn So Bright. You guys don't think that'll be too much of a problem do you?
