You've equated Keynesianists (and moderate ones at that) with full blown socialists more times than I could count. It's very reassuring you do actually know there is a difference between Keynes and Marx but thats a far cry from knowing what either of them actually said.
Keynes wanted to save capitalism from socialist revolution, his methods of doing so would be considered that of huge government intervention something that produces the same outcome of socialism, poverty. his belief was that in times of high unemployment socialist revolutions occur. what he was trying to do back in the 30's was giving peoples jobs so America didn't fall into a socialist revolution. whether his methods were the right thing to do or were successful is a whole different subject.

little quote from Keynes to put your mind at ease

"Marxian Socialism must always remain a portent to the historians of Opinion — how a doctrine so illogical and so dull can have exercised so powerful and enduring an influence over the minds of men, and, through them, the events of history.” – John Maynard Keynes

interpret that as you will.

the quote still stands the 'future plans' you talk about is the intention. government can't operate in an efficient manner if their lives depended on it. the government puts itself above the economy and peoples lives thinking they know best. but its like a 4 year old putting a fork into a wall socket. he thinks he knows what hes doing but hes just gonna fuck himself over
again, i agree with you - but there has to be a measure of integrity when one compares both govts. im not saying having good intentions in the most efficient way, but it seems to be working with the australian public - in either case we will find out after the 2010 election.

sorry when ever i talk about socialism, i overlook any good intentions they have and go straight to the outcomes of socialism, equal distribution of poverty.

however I'm open to listen to your interpretation of socialism
give examples of policies that have been implemented which support these claims.

whats wrong with being right wing conservative over a left wing socialist?

aka would you rather high economic freedom with low social freedom or poverty with no social freedom
No he's a right wing nutter....

At-fault divorce return...

Complete opposition to embyronic stem-cell research which coming from a Christian is a dark ages view... you can't oppose Stem-Cell research without opposing IVF treatments... and you don't see them doing that... but seeing as they can't even use failed IVF implant stem cells, you have to wonder why they oppose it... Oh I know... because they're conservative right wing nutjobs...

He is a Climate Change skeptic... not a Global Warming sceptic... a CLIMATE CHANGE skeptic. When you disagree with a huge majority of the Scientific community, one could only describe you as a nutter.

I'm sorry but I have to ask something Scuba_Steve....

What is your opinion on Switzerland, Finland and Sweden... countries with some of the highest living standards in the world with some of the lowest rates of poverty... high amounts of wealth, and foreign investment capital... a very strong welfare system and high taxes...
