Is it possible to get anywhere without an ATAR?! (1 Viewer)

I've always wanted to be a dentist and I'm certainly smart enough to achieve Band 6s in all my subjects - only thing - they've refused to enrol me in some courses, saying it is too late to start those particular courses and that I will need to spend another year in high school. Long story!

So I was wondering if I could not persuade them to change their minds, is there any bloody way I can do dentistry without finishing the HSC? Or shall I just hang myself?

Look m8 you need an ATAR otherwise you will spend the rest of your life on the street stealing lollypops from babies to save yourself from starvation.

You don't get an atar, you spend the rest of your life doing the above.
If you get an atar and become a dentist, you'll be in the occupation with the highest rates of suicide and depression.

Win at life.

Oh, fuck. But I really don't want to be a 20 year old, doing my HSC in 2012.

Your school is really tight, my school lets students change subjects any time before year 12.

This is what they've suggested:

2010
Year 12 Ancient History
Year 12 Studies of Religion
Year 11 Chemistry- needs to complete at least two title pages per week to catchup on the course

It it too late in the year to enroll in the following subjects:
Year 12 General Mathematics
Year 11 English Advanced
Year 11 Legal Studies

A possible program of study for 2011 could be:
Year 11 English
Year 11 Legal Studies
Year 12 Chemistry

A possible program of study for 2012 could be (DO NOT WANT):
Year 12 English
Year 12 Legal Studies

The only courses I've done from the beginning of this year are Ancient and Religion, but I'm willing to drop Religion to concentrate on Gen Maths cause it's a hell of a lot easier. How do I persuade these cunts that can't spell "enrol"?!?

Neg.

CSU's Orange campus offers undergrad Dentistry.

It's a new-ish course, maybe that's why you've not heard of it :D
