Hi all

I'm a new poster here. I was wondering what ATAR I could possibly get because I am a bit worried since I'm only doing 10 units.

I'm not sure what my school rank is though...

English (Advance): 82%, rank 6/43
English Extension 1: 84% rank 2/9
English Extension 2: 57% rank 4/4
Business Studies: 77% rank 6/53
Visual Art: 88% rank 1/24
Industrial Tech (Graphics): 66% rank 7/28


Does it matter that my assessment marks are fairly low? Or is it only based on ranking?

We can't really estimate at all if you can't give us a school rank... perhaps give us a school name and we couuld find the rank?

Oh and marks don't technically count - it is the mark gaps and rank

I'm pretty sure we're not even in top 200...

Ooh, seems my thread died.

I've been trying to find the rank of my school, however it's not in the 2009 rankings...
We are a new school and we've only had one lot of year 12 finish their HSC and that was last year, so will this affect my ATAR?

it won't affect your ATAR. It just means its harder for you to predict your ATAR

assuming your school is ranked around 300th, I'd say you'd get around 80 atm
