Just wondering, does anyone play minecraft?

It looks like a pretty hilarious game; very primitive but cleverly implemented and designed in a way that attracts people to want it.

Didn't it used to be free to play, because I know it costs money now.

Oh, and I don't play.

Well it still is free, except you have to pay for the upgraded versions.

If you bought it when it was in alpha you get all future game updates for free - yay!

I use to run a minecraft server although its very resource intensive

God I love this game, I don't have the architectural genius to do anything special, but I've seen some servers which will make your jaw drop to the ground, like they can make a fkin city just out of different coloured blocks.

Amazing what you can do with a couple of cows and blocks.

EDIT: You can get high quality texture packs at like 256x256 or even 512x512 res so graphics are only as bad as you want them to be / your GPU can support.

Built myself a skull fortress with lava weeping from its eyes. Had fun pushing sheep into the pools of lava, but accidentally fell in, died and couldn't find find it again.
