I say I am tomorrow, then tomorrow...procrastination. I mean I have done a bit but not as much as I should be doing I guess. And I actually mean I've only done 'a little bit'...just making that clear for the people who are going to say "don't over do it or you'll burn out".

Anyone else like me? I come on here and see that everyone is so dedicated. I worry lol :/

People can lie, so don't worry. Go at it your own pace and you'll do fine.

Don't worry, most people don't study these holidays.

My friend didn't and got 95.

I didn't study these holidays and every other holidays and well I ended up with 80 haha which isn't quite great compared to BOS standards but well its pretty great to me.

honestly these holidays ive been a studyholic! its a great great headstart for when you do go back to school, think about it way less stress right? the best trick i found when i want to study is i trick myself i tell myself ill just go sit on my study desk and read something small and then ill end up on a roll and before i know it i've been going for hours, the hardest part about studying is sitting at your study desk after that you'll go for hours because we have syllabus points and alot to study ! SO GOOD LUCK

Honestly, I've done minimal study (practically non-existent) and I'm feeling very guilty. I know I should make use of this time to catch up on missed out work and learn concepts etc (Chem is killing me) but I don't have the motivation.

Not really doing studying. Just holiday homework/assignments/readings. Which I still haven't finished, haha.

Only other thing I did was at the very start of the holidays when I made my Modern History WWI summary.

Me! That being said, I have 2 jobs so I've been working every day so far. I have managed to get some of my holiday homework done, but I'm still feeling guilty =) At least I'm not alone.

Unsure of what you mean. Should I be unable to work? :haha:
Its good for the money, not so good for the study.
I shall have to cut down my hours once term starts...

not being a show off or anything but i am just posting the stuff below so that people dont freak out.

if you havent been studying and are feeling stressed out, DONT!!!!!! In all honesty even though I told myself last year that I would at least study sometime during the summer holidays and do my notes, however it never happened. In fact I did ABSOLUTELY NO STUDY!!!!!!

so although it set me behind a lot, I played catch up during Term 1. Yes it was difficult at times you regret not studying during the holidays but if you can put yourself an extra few hours ever week to play catch up for the summer holidays then your set. Because I did absolutely no work during the summer holidays, I had to give up an extra 3 hours of social every week to do my work such as notes and stuff. It can be an ass but it is possible.

If you can absolutely do work this holiday then do it as it will make term 1 much easier but dont be a freak and over do everything, you either burn out or you will regret it as it is kinda your last opportunity to go out as much as you can.

If you are going to go out throughout the holidays (like I did) and do no study, make sure you can play catch up!!! If you know you cant catch up start motivating yourself to do some work. Even if it is 1 hour a day. Thats enough to get you going. You dont need to be crazy and do like 3-5 hours every day...

I regretted not studying during the summer holidays but I managed to play catch up and still got an atar of 99.30. So dont be stressed. If you are someone who is capable of doing study and a bit more studying during school, then you are completely fine. In the situation you can't, now is the time to get moving. You can still socialise and stuff now but be ready to give up your last week of holidays to prepare for school and stuff.

just my two cents to those that are stressing.

I haven't been studying, more so just completing holiday homework and assessment tasks. Majority of my time has been spent on my History Extension Major Work, getting that all organised is my one goal these holidays. Less stress later on if it's on the right track. :) Read my English texts, done some minor notes for them. Other than that, just making sure books and content is all up to date.

I've so far read Frankenstein and made notes.
This.

Otherwise, the only other stuff I've done is complete a Math chapter in the textbook, do some questions from Terry Lee and skim over some Chemistry and Physics stuff...

I am glad that there are other people who are struggling to find motivation these holidays. I think once I return to school, and remind myself of the competition, then I will really start getting into the rhythm of things.

Anyone else feel this way, or is it just wishful thinking?
