You don't need to know everything, only where the main things are and where you lecture rooms/tutes are. I've never been into most of the buildings, not do I need to etc. I always took the long way to a tute I had in Electrical engineering last semester as I couldn't find it any other way (the corridors in there are real confusing). I also got lost in the Physics building once lol and ended up in the basement.
