I maintain that 59/120 in MX2 is equivalent to defeating the entire General Maths cohort 59 times over. So, I can rest in peace =P

I'm actually surprised I got 59. I was expecting 40/120.

No idea, I was eating lunch. As an Asian person - I was annoyed by his insolence in interrupting my feeding time <_<

I think AusPost though =P

IIRC mine came in the letterbox, but we have a nice large letterbox, not those crappy small ones through which you can barely fit a standard envelope. :p

Anyway, good to know you don't have to go write that complaint letter now, they were just in their legal timeframe...

I had heart surgery and was out for two months. I consider what I got a great comeback in that I got a higher ATAR than all but one person in my HSC cohort (granted, it was thirty people).

And I am a high achiever - it just doesn't show in the HSC marks. ;)

Wow aligning makes your marks look better. Plus uac scales the aligned marks. Big wow to subs that align and scale well

MX2 is awesome =P

You should be happy you're doing it!

Though to address your concerns, what do you mean? 59/120 --> 83 seems... fine to me.

What I'm trying to say is that 59/120 -> 83 aligned is completely fine, considering the difficulty of the course. However, on top of the 83, if you apply scaling, it becomes overkill. To put it into perspective, getting a 83 (59/120) in 4u maths is equal to getting a 92 in chemistry in terms of aggregates

Ah, scaling. I forgot about scaling. My bad.

Still, I suppose the raw difficulty of the questions has to justify it somewhat. I agree - from considering your example, it may be a bit overkill (as a Chemistry student myself) - but I don't think it's anything to get worked up over. It's a bit on the "too much" side, but I suppose that's better than "too little".
